- Get a call scheduled with a guest from our rotation
- Time and date
- Have them prepare a roadmap, a case study, and costs. Create a simple Google form for them to fill out in advance.
- Who am I and why should Acquisition Entrepreneurs listen to me?
- What are the key milestones involved in my area of the acquisition process, as well as timing and costs associated?
- What’s a good case study I can go over for 10 minutes? Ideally one I haven’t shared in a previous AP Call?
- What are the next steps an AE can go through after this call?
- What’s the best way for an AE to get in touch with me?
- Make sure the guest puts the time in their calendar
- Hold a 15 min pre-interview to discuss topics with the guest on the week of the call.
- Change date span in Schedule Settings for the Weekly AP Calls event when people can sign up.
- Set the date from Thursday to Saturday.
- Copy the link.
- Send a message in the Acquira Support #general channel
- Here’s an example message:
“Hi @channel, here is the link for this week’s AP call. This week’s guest is Ale Barrera. Ale is M&A Manager at Acquira and has worked as a business broker for over 10 years. She’s going to talk about building broker relations as well as answer questions about deal sourcing, deal flow, and negotiating LOIs.” - Use Common Room to let people know about the AP Call. Ask them if they have any questions around the topic that they’d like to discuss and we can pre-populate it.
- On the day of the meeting, open the Zoom 5 minutes before start time.
- Allow people to enter as the show up. Say hi to them.
- Wait 3 minutes for everyone to show up
- Introduce the guest.
- The guest will star talking
- Monitor the chat to see if there are any questions coming in
- Ask questions to the guest
- At the hour mark, wrap up the call.
- The recording will process. Name the file “DATE, GUEST NAME – Weekly AP Call”
- Upload the recording to your Google Drive (you probably want to create a dedicated folder for this)
- Send link to Tato with title and description of call.
- Give yourself a pat on the back.
